Regarding how much paint to roll on... enough to give it a solid coating only, not more... remember on the deck, I rolled over 3-4 times in ALL directions to get the solid coverage. HOWEVER, note what Capt.Chuck recommends, only rolling in ONE direction...bottom to top. Hope this helps!
