Default Re: bow pulpit

I opted not to add the actual pulpit extension and mounted just the anchor roller to the bow of my 23' Tsunami. I installed a Windline anchor roller that pivots when the tension is released- it works absolutely flawlessly !

I added extra support under the deck ( in the rope locker ) w/ (2) 3/4" pcs of ply wood glassed together and shaped to the actual form of the area in the rope locker. Then, SS bolted thru the deck and the 1.5" of ply. I epoxy sealed the edges of the ply.

This set up is coupled with a Lewmar windlass. Finding the Windline pivoting anchor roller was not easy - it is not often advertised. I found this to be the best make in terms of design and quality.

It all works great although this year I want to add add'l base support to the anchor roller/deck joint. Where it is mounted to the deck, the bow is not perfectly flat, it's a little convex - so I am going to make epoxy wedges to compensate. So far, this set-up has been bullet-proof.
