Default Re: 200 HPDI on an '81 20SF - should I put a wedge on?

I have a Merc 200 carbed 2 stroke on an '83 20 SF just like yours. Engine weight should be in the same range as the HPDI Yami. The Seacraft Industries 20 SF is 8" longer than the Potter version and, I think, a little heavier in the bow. You definitely won't need transom wedges. It shouldn't porpoise at any speed.

Let us know what kind of performance you get with the 200 on a SEC hull. Mine isn't quite as good as I've seen reported for Potter 20s with a 200.
