Here it is:
"The purpose of the molded indent just above the hard chine is to facilitate the hull breaking suction from the water, therefore allowing the hull to plane with less power" That's from one of the VP's at Pro-Line, whose boats also have that feature. Ya learn somethin' new every day, if ya just don't be afraid to ask the iggerant questions.
