New purchase 1976 sf18
I just purchased a 1976 sf18 boat has new ttop, new electrical wiring, new gages, 1989 johnson 150 rebuilt in 2001. I paid 4500.00 without a trailer, boat was purchased from the original owner. What is this boat worth?

Welcome to the family.
Sounds like you got a good deal. What type of shape are the deck and transom in? Also, did you check out the engine's compression? I am asking these questions because your answers will help determine it's value. Best of luck. Peter

vcsjupiter-Welcome to CSC. You got a good deal, based on the limited info we have. Are you orig. from Jupiter? I grew up on the water there. My dad has an 18SF with a 140 Zuke on the Lox.. I just sold my 18SF last month. Good luck with her. Looking forward to hearing how it works out for you.

Snookered,
I moved to Jupiter in 1978 and have lived here since. I was out on the river on the 4th the boat handled great. I am going offshore to do some fishing on Saturday can't wait. |

Re: New purchase 1976 sf18
Peter,
The deck and transom are in great shape. I have not done a compression check yet. I do have a folder about an inch thick of reciepts for all the work that was done to this boat. Every year the owner had it serviced and replaced what needed to be done. The boat handles great. Tony |
