Hey, which launching ramp is best to launch the 20 MA? I would be coming from CT or RI. I have a change of command on friday morning in Pt Judith and thought I would trailer the boat from New Haven and leave it there until Sat morning. I have the night watch on friday and who knows how that will go. Anyway, that's my story, I have a 50-50 chance of making it to CC. Hope to make it, Jim.

They're all fine for your boat, but Sandwich is the best IMO, plus it is a closer drive from where you're coming from.

Jim - coming in from RI / Conn, I would go to Sandwich, it's an excellant ramp, far better than Barnstable, which can be a little thin at low tide, and is only a single wide ramp, dock one side only. Sandwich is a double wide, concrete all the way down, all tides ramp, with long docks on both sides - Also, tons of parking at Sandwich, while Barnstable has limited parking, and is also about 1/2 hr further out the Cape.

Have fun guys. Wish I could attend....but a client of mine hired me to run his brand new 36 footer back from Nantucket. I ran it down last week and it is not a bad gig. The 90 mile trip takes about 4 hours...and then I get flown back. I can't believe I get paid to do this

You guys may want to consider moving it to the southside of the cape (protected from the northeast wind) or maybe out to the bayside of Wellfleet where you will get some protection too.

CCB and Vineyard Sound look about the same -

NE 10 - 15, gusts to 20,

CCB waves @ 2', Vineyard Sound 2' - 3'

What's everyone think ?

On the flip side I've seen NOAA blow it, often.

? ? ? ? ?

What happened to this meet ? I was there planning to see alot of classics. I beached with my wife at the inlet and did not see one all day. I was looking forward to better results, the good thing was the weather was beatiful so it was not a complete waste of day. Hope we can put something a little better together in 2008.
