Pulled up some 35, market price getting better. Coastguard being a pain you know where. Rumors they are selling confiscated fish at Nantucket if you have over 15 fish and not giving you the fine if you are in fed. waters. If true we now have modern Pirates. They will be out for me now...

Being in the Coast Guard and formerly being stationed on Nantucket, i don't think that any coastie would risk the brig time that would come as a result of the regulations that would have been broken had this been true.

Any confiscated fish do end up getting sold by the MEP and the total dollar figure goes to the Divsion of Marine fisheries.

Hi RodMan,

I don't understand? You are allowed up to 30 fish per day on comm days in state waters. Any bass on board in federal waters you will be screwed.

From what I was told ,the fish were caught in Nantucket waters and heading back they cut it to close and were in fed waters. Bam.. the fish were confiscated but no fine was imposed. Don't get me wrong, the CG is a good thing to see, when you are in trouble. I stay out of fed waters, not worth the chance or fines, not for a fish.
