Better make it a real long weekend. Keep in mind even when you hit the Florida State line you still have 7 hours of
windshield time down I-95 and the Turnpike just to get into the upper keys. That also depends on what time of the day you go around Miami. If your flying, no problem. Do you plan to tow the boat? If so from Mass. to say Islamorada your looking at 3 days of driving down. From Florida City to Key West is approx. 135 miles on US-1 The keys this time of the year is great IMO. If you want to go to Key West get with CSC member joey, He is a captain in Key West. Go ahead and surprise her with a week get away. Let us know what you plan.
