For what it's worth, original ladder was made by Mayfair Products, as described in a Feb '73 Boating magazine test of the Scepter/Tsunami.

Bushwacker, that article from boat test was on this site a couple years ago.If anyone has it,i would gladly pay a few bucks for a photo copy of it.
I'd like to put it in my records/scrapbook of my Tsunami restoration. I think it was feb 1973. As for the ladder,i'd be happy to purchase one if they ever become available. I work for a ladder mfg.and tried to get them to come up with something, but unfortunately they're not interested.

John - I never got a response back from Jason on putting the Sceptre article with ladder picture in the Literature section, so gave it to my daughter last night to have her scan it. Should have in a couple of days. If anyone that wants it will send me a PM with your e-mail, I'll send it to you when I get it.
I've seen those ladders; they were made out of some sort of plastic about an inch thick. They had two steps and there was a hinge at each end of the step which allowed them to fold like a parallelogram. Shouldn't be too hard to make one out of Azek board; might be able to scale the photos to get some rough dimensions. Haven't checked yet, but there may also be some photos showing a ladder in some of the Scepter brochures in literature section. Denny

Guys,
That was my ladder and I completely dropped the ball. I was supposed to mail it to "No Bones" in Fla for inspection / manufacturing ideas and costs. It's just been outta sight, outta mind. I have to get on it. The original design is great, but the manufacturing quality stinks - I've broken two of these ladders in the same area - it's not my weight either. But, when they work, they are perfect for out boats. ![]() |

I saw one on a post here within the past month. It was folded up but I cannot remember where. If we get info on them I have resources to have some manufactured - whether wood metal or composites. I will try to find the post that I saw it on. If I remember correctly it was a two piece fold up design.
