Default Re: HELP! fiberglass issues on the hull.

I was able to get the boat off the trailer. right now it is sittin up on blocks with the starboard side of the V pretty much flat maybe a little bast flat. this has allowed me to work on that spot fairly easily, but I think I will have to roll it more to get to the stuff that is behind the hole in the bow.
yesterday I put on 2 layers of biaxle and 1 layer of roving and it stiffened it right up(it barely flexes at all. today I will have to sand it and do a little preliminary shaping ane hopefully get a few more layers of glass on. I think I have enough of the original shape left there that I wont have to do a mold for it. It might take me a little longer, but I dont have a boat that I can make a mold off of here in Va and its gonna be wicked cold when I get back to Mass.
As long as I get it close this year, and just do a little touch-up paint this year, I will be stoked to just get it in the water. I will worry about the real paint job next winter when I have more time and money to burn.
