Default Re: Master Angler Teak Rod Holders

Eggsucking dog, If you want a template I'll be glad to make one for you out of cardboard, fold it up and mail it to you in some heavy packaging, or perhapes out of some other material if you think something else would be better. Either way I'll make a template and send it. Just tell me how and where to. , BTW Egg, they mount underneath the topcap and run down the innder liner to the deck. I guess I'll post a pic of them in place to give you a better idea. Underneath the topcap there should be a special place (two piece of glass together) for them to go

Capt. Chuck, I did not take measurments of the length and width. I'll do that tomorrow or maybe wednesday.

I would make them out of composites but I don't know how I would get a nice edge where the rods would lay. I thought of starboard, but I think Starboard is a bit weak (and has a tendency to sag) since afterall those rod holders help support the topcap.

McGil, thanks for schooling me on wood. I'll print out your comments and research from that if I decide to make new pieces out of some other wood.
