Default steering issues

After months of sitting here in the cold the teleflex steering cable has frozen. Its disconected from the outboard which turns easily. But the cable wont move more than in inch. The boat was wrapped all winter so water did not get in and rust it, as well the cable is only three years old. Any suggestions on freeing it up? I would hate to remove it, as it is a pain in the (beeeeep) to remove and reinstall. Thanks

Default Re: steering issues

Clamp vise grips just inboard of the end swivel and try to turn the steering rod back and forth. Once it starts to free up you can attempt to turn the wheel. It is a pain!!
