Default Re: 1990 200hp Johnson on a 20' CC

I have a 1979 20 Master Angler. In 1999, I had my transom redone and hung a 1999 Johnson 175 carbed, and oil injection disconnected. Though she does not leave the garage very often, 13? hours total, the only fault that I see is a cosmetic crack at the top of the transom. I believe that this is from the semi-professional job that I paid for, and not a result of too much weight.

She handles nicely and screams at 5800 revs. when I occassionally blow her out. Not sure if I'm breaking 50 or not with a light load, but I'm very sure that a 200 would do it on mine. I would not worry at all. Rig it and ride it.

Can't remember which OMC stainless steel prop I have but it's downstairs if you need that info. If she were used normally I'd upgade to the Bennet trim tabs. Other than that...

Hope this helps ease your mind for Jersey. Where are you going? Michael.
