Those marine heads are now illegal unless they're plumbed to a holding tank and the Y-valve for overboard dump disabled, although it's legal to use them outside 3 mile limit and in Bahamas. I've never been stopped or inspected, but mine was so old that the hand pump needed rebuilding anyway, so I pulled it, plugged the holes and installed a portapottie. That porcelain head is heavy, although don't know if it's any heavier than the 3.5 gal of water in portable. Helps balance and ride to have a little weight up there anyway!
