Did some researh and found a product called Marine safty Strip sold at West Marine.

Says that it will take off bottom paint down to the gel coat and not harm it.

Anyone try this on their boat?

Going to buy a quart and try it, the worst that can happen is the I throw another $20 inb the ocean (cheap)
