Hope this makes you feel better. The weather in Hatteras really stunk this past weekend!

I think you’d be fine. I was in Hatteras from Sep 12-19 and the weather was good all but one day. On Tuesday it was slick as glass coming in around 4:30pm. We were in my friend’s Proline 251, but my 23’cc would have done just as well, and used less fuel.

We started off going out to the rock pile, but as the week went on, we caught more fish closer in. The best we did was around the 140’ mark. Trackers and Stubby Bubblers over ballyhoo and neon green or pink Stretch 25’s did the trick on the wahoo and (short) tuna.

On the other side, we were in Salvo during the first week in May and couldn’t get out of OI a single day. Even the sound was rough.

Some you win, some you lose, and some get rained out.

The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low cost.
