This thread got Shanghai'd from the original posting! I believe you will fnd that they are both the same except in the case of the inboard set-ups which have the modified aft keel section with shallow pocket. That said, the conversion has been done a number of times, I believe.

My opinion is that to someone looking for a cutty, the Scepter represents a great value and may be worth slightly more to a knowledgable buyer. That said, you may have to wait a long time to get that premium price, particularly in this market. Add to that the additional cost associated to simpply the "conversion cost and time" to the overall cost of the project. Also, in my mind, adding another CC to the long list of those that are original is not worth the loss of one more Scepter.

Just my opinion.
