I am glad they do that kind of stuff down there, up here in the San Juan Islands they very seldom come aboard, most ask for life vest and ask if we have and fish, why fish I don't know because they could care less unless the ones I talk to like to fish. You are more likely to get stopped here by Customs Patrol, home land security or Border Patrol as we have a lot of drug activity from British Columbia bring down their bud. They grow tons of it there.

Don for some reason, maybe just to piss us off, they all wear those black boots on boarding parties. They have never stopped me but I hear the same complaint from everybody.

Yes Sir I think you're right, however as luck would have it my next door neighbor is friends with the CG Commamnder in St. Pete., I won't let it happen again to me. Two things, 1. that is not the proper footwear for the CG to use on the water, they are issued non-marking boots and 2. for a simple boat inspection you don't have to let them on board with those black boots on. Was not a real big deal, a little comet and a scrub brush and it was gone. It could be worse....These CG guys are probably involved with the oil spill mess in the Gulf. Yuck.

My hull # is SECF3226 according to the paper work that came with the boat; does that number look correct?
The boat does appears to have had the transom replaced at some point and time in it's life.

I would question the numbers on the title and compare them to the hull.

How many numbers should it be?
![]() Alabama doesn't require a tile so the only thing I have to go by is the bill of sale and registration.

To all interested parties. The USCG since 911 no longer wears differt shoes based on mission. They are required to wear those boots for all missions. If you were to ask them about them, they probably respond " They mark up our Boats as well, and we have to keep them clean. George.

About the flares, my local uscg inspector (I have an inspected passenger launch at work) informed me that we are no longer required to carry them on the launch, as all our trips are under 30 minutes. Strange huh?
