saecraft 23 inboard
does a seacraft 23 inboard (savage model) run comparable to say a albemarle 24 or regulator 23? Plan on using offshore only. Interested in drift characteristics, head sea ride etc.

Re: saecraft 23 inboard
Not sure what years you refer to, but the older Albe 24 was basically a Formula 233 hull. Nice ride into head sea but not nearly as soft landing and lot of unwanted rolling in drift or slow troll. I don't know the Regulator. I think it has even more dead-rise than the Albe so I'll guess the same effect occurs. The thing you'll find in the SeaCraft is a more stable ride, less rolling while drifting in swells and a much softer landing when planing in rough water... Oh, yeah - SeaCrafts are a lot better looking than the others but that's more subjective...When you gonna post some pics of that Savage?

Re: saecraft 23 inboard
The other boats are great running boats and can run very fas, but when you get where you want to fish, it might be sitting down so you don't go over the side. I fished out of 70 WEST Marina in Morehead NC, and they were the Alby's biggest dealer.
