i had that black corrugated tube when i got my boat. it pumps water right back into the boat when it get s a crack in it. tie wraps are extremely cheap. keep some spares on the boat too., you never know when you may have to rig something to get home. i use them for everything. make a temp shelter from the sun with those and a tarp from t-top to bow rail.

Also consider consider rearranging the whole thing so the layout is more efficient. Why have a mile of hose whne there is mounting space near the destination. It will also make it easier to troubleshoot.
