AMEN! Jupiter almost bit me in the ass last spring. So close I can still taste it. The few local Cap`s I`ve spoken with are still in shock. I still can`t believe a Garlington rolled that far without hitting the bar. In the first pics, I can see very light water in front of her. Sad days around the docks here. Very sad. Boynton may have a higher ranking, but Jupiter scares me more. A lot more. Maybe because I was a pier rat for so long at Boynton. I know a few tricks from watchin` the Crackers in Jon boats. Yeah, Jon boats. You can hug the So. jetty in a trough or hug the N. jetty comin` in and avoid the washing machine altogether. Fouling a prop with mono from the rats is almost a given if you choose this. A few errant sinkers too. Wear a helmet. I gotta get my anchor chocked on deck. That cut is skinny. Not a good place to lose power. Prayers to the Henrys. GFS |
