Ice takes the path of least resistance you will only have problems with ice breaking things where the pressures can be traped. In a live well the Ice is contained on only 5 sides leaving the sixth side for the release of pressure. I would be more concerned with water traped in hoses and engine components which is taken care of during winterization. RV anti freeze works great for for any place you have worries.(even the Eco-friendly stuff)
