Denny,

Very cool, I think when the 21 is done I will take it thru the big lake and go north up to Jacks, and then go all the way down to Orlando.

Pull it and tow it home. So keep all your records so I can hit all your Hi spots,

Terry, that would be quite a trip! Starting in early to mid-March would probably be the best time, although you still might have to contend with a few cold fronts. We had some pretty warm days by late April, but it was still nice at night, and we saw a lot more gators cruising along instead of just laying on the bank! Harry found a real good "Boating and Cruising Guide to the St. Johns River" by Tom Kranz at www.st-johns-river.com. It identifies all the good anchorages and spots worth seeing. The southern part of the river from Palatka to Sanford is the least developed and most interesting. Very few marinas in that area, but it's more fun to anchor out anyway! You have to watch the manatee/idle speed zones around Blue Springs State Park, as they're strictly enforced - we saw a FWC patrol boat in that area every time we went thru there. The Claiborne Young guide to Eastern Florida also has a pretty good section on the St. Johns. Denny

Outstanding trip and wonderful pics, Denny. Its fascinating to contemplate what you can do with these boats and you set the bar mighty high.

He`s won the C.G. Award at the last three gatherings.....no surprise there either.

Janet thinks you should call Nat. Geo. and have them follow you around the state on your adventures.

Denny,
You continually support all that is great about CSC.

Thanks,
GFS

Beautiful pics, Denny. Thanks for sharing. You've got me inspired. My wife and I are talking about doing a circumnavigation of south Florida when I get the 25 done. Maybe fall, but probably next spring. I'll probably want to get in touch and get some tips when I get serious about planning the trip.
