I've noticed that when I've bought things for my boat, I sometimes have a internal conversation, however brief, about getting it back someday when the boat is sold. Selling a boat in this market has been an exercise in confirming once again how useless my internal conversations are.

Yeah, I find myself talking to my other self about boat economics more often than I like. Sometimes, when really alert, I catch myself and excuse myself from such useless and pointless banter
