After reading this i'm going to pass on the 20 Sceptre i found and hold off for a 23-25 Seafari, I want a cuddy anyway.

Have you seen heynow's 23' Sceptre I/O for sale without power? Just so you know, there are no 23' Seafaris, only 20s and 25s in that config. If you want a 25 you'll really have to hunt high and low since very few were built. There are definitely more 20 Seafaris and 23 Sceptre/Tsunamis around for reasonable money.

Yes saw that nice boat heynow has, I askes waht he wanted for it as is, no respond yet. Whats the difference between a Sceptre and Tsunami?

You have the SeaCraft bug really bad from what I can tell way over here in California. Perhaps you could check out a few of them and possibly ride on one before you decide on what to purchase.

EHHHHHH, I bought a Seacraft without a seatrial, test ride, or even actually seeing one in person, EVER, a couple years ago.

I believe he said he was looking around in the New England area? There are lots of boats on the East Coast but very few in Mn or calif were I'm from. I too bought my first Seacraft without ever seeing one or riding in one because.... THERE WERE NONE TO LOOK AT! I had to go to Arizona for my first one. This guy lives in Seacraft heaven...he was looking at a 20 sceptre and now is talking about 23 sceptres and 25 seafari's which tells me he really should take a look at a few boats before he makes up is mind. The 25 Seafari is a heavy boat.

Highliner do you plan on towing this boat or keeping it in a slip? What kind of tow vehicle do you have? Where do you spend most of you time fishing...inshore or offshore? Are you really going to use the cuddy all the time? or would you rather have the extra room to fish? We are here to help you get your fix soon but I would rather you get the right fix for you.

Yeah Strick I would like to find a 25 Seafari I like the headromm in the cuddy. I do overnights at times and would like something i can offshore if i choose. 1/2 ton pickup 3 miles from Ramp. If i find a deal on a 23 Skeptre i would grab it. Combo pleasure/fish. Cuddy I/O is my thing.

Did the same thing this past summer. The previous owner didnt seam to happy he was selling, so I didnt want to give any time to re-think and pulled the trigger sight on seen

After reading and looking at the brocures etc. The reputation works for me. If i dont like it their demand is such that it wouldn't be to hard to get rid of it. I have a Classic hull bug no doubt. I guess most people have a goal to have the perfect boat that fits their needs. I am going to get a ride in one in the spring hopefully. I'm going to ask him. He has a 23 either Tsunami or Sceptre I/O.

Name only. Around '73-74, SC had to change the name from Tsunami to Sceptre because there was already a boat company in FL with the same name.
