OK...even though I own a 21 Moesly built Seacraft I would say Potter...Not necessarily the 23 just Potter built.

Every time anyone that knows boats (but not Seacraft history) asks me what I have and I tell them I have an original Seacraft, they always and I mean always reply, OH you have a Potter built.

Then of course I give them the full story and they still look at me like are you sure.

What it comes down to in the end is:

"LIFE, LIBERTY and the PURSUIT of a Classic SeaCraft" go Capt. C

SeaCraft is defined here:

Like, Hermit, I opine that Mr. Moesly's innovative variable dead-rise hull was and still is the defining factor.

The rest of it is evolution. That said, I concur with strick and others that Mr. Potter's 23 is the legacy and what SeaCraft came to be.

Best looking, best riding, best all around boats ever produced. The fact that they are so sought after 30-40 years later is a testament to them.

Having the ability to casually wave at the guy in the bigger boat getting beat to death as you dance across the swells passing him.

The real satisfaction comes as he falls in behind you.

Icing on the cake; He happens to be going to the same ramp and when you get there, he asks, "How can you go that fast in that kind of chop"?

My definition of SeaCraft.
