i can not imagine 4 " is having that dramatic of an effect? I had a 23 , notch transom, 200 2 stroke, i rebuilt it , moved console forward @ 5" , had a 80 in rear and a 40 forward where front storage box was, i did have a drainage problem when the rear tank was near empty and the forward was near full. Are you sure the console has not been moved forward also?

I currently have a 23 , floatation bracket, 225 4 stroke, 100 gal tank pushed as far forward as i can up to the front storage box and wish i could go further.

Are you running a 2 stroke or 4 stroke?
