Use the protractor to measure your transom angle. I believe it's 13*

I placed this on the transom and it read 16. Was that the transom degree or hull deadrise? I'm so confused with finding the transom degree...

It's 12 or 13 degrees depending on the tide and wind.

I put the flat bottom part vertical on the transom and it read 16. Is that giving me the hull deadrise or does that represent the transom degree?

What you're looking for is the angle relation between the transom and keel. Using that tool the keel needs to be zero.

Is the keel level or tilted back by 4 degrees?
