Thanks for the compliment ESD. I agree with Big Shrimping, it should find the rev limiter with a 19pitch and all trimmed out. With no vent plugs installed in the prop it should ventilate a little coming out of the hole. (ie. RPM should jump right from the first throttle input) Boat should leap up and go, look into the running condition of the Opti. The empty primer ball is telling you something.
On motor height- If you look aft when on plane and your motor is throwing up a bunch of water it is probably too low on the bracket. Mine was...When going from a 2.4L 200 to the 3.0L 250 I had to hang the motor two notches higher to get the cav plate to ride above the water on plane. You can verify by having someone else take the wheel and carefully crawl back there to have a look-see at where the water is running across the leading edge of the lower. You will get it sorted out. |

Still haven't got my boat back so I assume they must have found something. But to let you know my options was mounted to the highest setting. It did rev right up with the vent plugs removed. When it planed out it did go fast and was riding correctly and even just wasn't getting my full rpms. Will see. More when I here back from the boat shop
