You might want to check your hull to make sure it doesn't have a hook in the bottom. There was one 23' mold that had such a hook in it. I understand that Potter told the SeaCraft Industries folks about it when they bought him out and advised them not to use it, but it evidently got used anyway. I looked at an '85 Sceptre for Island Trader a few years ago which had the hook in it, as show in picture below. The owner of that boat had evidently never noticed anything unusual about it's handling, but some folks are more observant of such things than others.
