Default my "old boat" is at my shop

sold my mako aprox 6yrs ago - it has since been sold again...
it's currently at my shop - hurricane storage

the current owner,he started a long thread about how he "rebuilt" the boat,on another site...he also contacted me a few mnths ago, asking a few questions, and tellingme to come see the boat, see what he's done to it and how he "rebuilt it"...

i went over the boat with the gentleman - wow ! and that's not a good "wow"...

there were problems - panels were not screwed down tight -electrical connections -some were heat shrink sealed, others not, equipment was installed, flush mounted - cut crooked, and not secured...aluminum was added - cheap non anodized aluminum welded to a top that was nothing short of a work of art.hydraulic steering leaking at both steering cylinders, and the helm - it was actually running down the helm panel
wow !
numerous holes left completley unsealed, holes in a wood cored deck hatch

screws appeared to be "mix and match" - some flt head, some oval head, some without finish washers, some with...

one of the best,"trex" decking,in place of what were teak cover boards...

basically, the boat's butchered to death and itreally breaks my heart...

i went over the boat with the owner, and asked him about his "rebuild" - excuses...
terrible work !! terrible !!

Default

more pictures....\the picture with the fuel vent - the vent is actually sideways, slightly angled upwards - not good...

has this happened to anyone else ?

it breaks my heart, the way this was butchered...

i didn't take any pictures of the"electrical" system - but, judging by the "eye for detail" the current owner has,it's safe to use your imigination...

terrible shame...
