I have a Simrad nss8 and I love it. It uses the same transducer as the Lowrance. Takes some getting used to as to how it works and what fish look like as compared to a regular transducer but once you get it down you are in business. Being able to see fish off to one side of the boat is really neat. I dont know how deep it will go. The deepest I usually fish is around 40 feet.
