Fuel Cell
Greetings.
I am very close to going down the path of classic seacraft ownership and if I move forward with a purchase I will need to address a few safety issues immediately. While the overall condition of the hull is good we would like to use the boat this season before I address greater restoration projects. The boat is a 1977 23 cc and is in need of new fuel cells (2). I am located on Boston north shore and would greatly appreciate any advice on where quality fuel cells that will fit can be procured. Also, is there a consensus if aluminum or poly are the better long term choice? Many thanks! |

Harper,
I have a 1978 23' Sceptre and my two fuel tanks fabricated by Eric Kent of KentFab in Pembroke, MA. Superior quality work and very reasonable price. Also, a very nice guy to do business with and he is familiar with SeaCrafts. Feel free to ask me any more questions. |

Water Rat, thanks for the local contact. I suspect we will be in better off in the long run having new custom tanks fabricated.
Martin, thanks for the offer. By the time we have the units shipped I suspect we would be close to whatever it costs to fab up new units. Thanks again. |
