Your little yacht is quite the work of art also, little more traditional than mine. She is beautiful, you should be very proud.
The scuppers come from the larger sportfish, the covers are designed so when backing down water doesn't come in.
I just really wanted the boat to drain when at rest and washing, and if as Strick suggest, that she gets a "little" topheavy, I will have some plugs. :-)
