Since I am the one who had that made to my specifications, I will guarantee that there was no compromise to the transom or any other part of the boat. It attaches through the rod holders and turnbuckles to the towing eyes only.

And yes, it will hold 400 lbs plus over and over again with no ill effects. Except for when I misplaced one foot and ended up in the Gulf, right Steven?
