Thinking about VHT header/ engine
paint. Supposed to be heat dissipating and a silica/ceramic coating.

Not sure if it is compatible w/ zinc chromate primer and will call them. They also have primer.

Normagain shot me some pics of the hookah and it looks better than the CL pics.

Santa and his lunch money left PBIA from runway 186L and should land at LAX on time and on budget if they don`t eat too many cookies along the way.

Bits, do you have a recommendation for a MC mufflah?

Duals for Thumper? Not sure Walt Disney would sign off. Sleeping Beauty was found dead with a sock stuffed down her throat. Now that`s a muffler.

I'm beginning to think your going to be disappointed at how quiet this little gem is! Personally, I would clean carb, replace air filters, drive belt and hit the rig with some WD40 on a rag and go!!! On old outboard collector taught me the WD exterior magician clean up trick.

I just have to overthink things. My nature. She will get prep and paint for durability. Not originality. Thanks for all of your help Norm!

Heard por15 holds heat so that may not be best. VHT needs 500f to cure so that`s out.

Zinc chromate and engine enamel may be the solution.

Thoughts on a crankshaft fan for compressor cooling?

I like my 150 loud n proud, and my hookah quiet. Diving is serene. Fishing at its best is mayhem.

I guess I`m looking for serene mayhem.

Skip the zinc chromate, hexavalent chromate is bad for you- and you don't want to inhale it. And you will be inhaling.

Maybe you can get the non hexavalent kind, now that Europe outlawed hexavalent.

Skip the POR15- it is the same toxic urethane chemistry we badmouth around here

Engine enamel sounds benign enough. But I don't know.

Not knowing anything about chemical danger sure makes decision making difficult.

Thanks all for the advice,
