Fin-Nors in my oppinion have taken a dive in quality over the last ten years and like Penn have outsourced their production to south Asia. The TLDs are good reels but require a considerable amount of maintainance if abused. Still a good choice though.

If your budget can handle it though I can whole heartedly attest that the Shimano Torsa is the end game for a non-custom built reels that will truely elevate the level of enjoyment you get out of fishing. The smallest Torsa I own which is the smallest available (16n) has taken down countless large reef fish and pelagics as big as a 101 lb hoo. They are not cheap but worth every penny considering how valuable my time is on the water.
