[QUOTE=FishStretcher;234196]I like the concept for a 25 but I can't wrap my head around the intersection of the curved area by the hatch ?

My thoughts were to do it like Hand's boat was done. They just removed the windshield and made the hardtop shell so that it bolted in place of the windshield down to the same track. The bottom of the aluminum track that the windows sit in now is fairly flat and it wouldn't be to hard to fit the removable shell back to the same surface. It would place the cabin back a little further than the traditional pilot house but I think it still would look good if done right. The main thing is keeping it light as possible. If I made it from core cell and laid it up with carbon biax, two layers on each side, it would be plenty strong and still light weight. The glass would be the heaviest part but lexan would help there but then you have the problem of the salt scratching up the view. My drag car had glass reinstalled in it due to this but you could use lexan it just would have to be changed out every few years. Standard plexy glass could crack but I think it is more resistant to scratching.

If you look at the sketch, it is just a top drawn on the top of the existing windshield and a back added with squared off sides instead of angled back. The front is shaped just like the windshield on it now. If you look close at the drawing you can see the lines from the existing windshield where I just sketched over them.
