I`m such a dinosaur. I`d rather have the v8.

Even with a 140 gallon tank we still had to bring a dozen gas cans on a grounds trip. I don't think you could pour fuel over the side faster than it could burn it.

At least the cowl would make a good lifeboat.

That's funny Ken, well not if you are the one paying to put gas in the tank. I think that OMC V-8 was the only outboard that needed a 1/2" fuel line, and that was borderline at 4500+ rpms. I knew an old OMC dealer who put two of those V-8s on a 29' Aquasport (around 1985). Lasted about two months and a trip or two to the middle grounds before he sold them, did not have enough fuel capacity....not even close.

Those are some great fish. I have a few spots inside 30 miles but they just do not compare. I want some of those 20+lb hogs!!
