All speculation . . . but from what I've seen in 10+ years it's not getting any easier to find clean 40 year old boats.

out of 346 outboard 23 Sceptres. My best guess is 5% of these boats are meticulously maintained or hiding in a barn.

When you find a nice boat . . . You need to be ready with cash in hand. When you hum and haw they are guaranteed to disappear.
