Can you remove the cap in one piece? (see METAN rebuiids) If you have rot in one place, you probably have it in other places wherever the top was drilled. Better to fix all at once.

We only recored the rotten areas. The rotten areas come out a lot easier than the intact ones (bitch). We epoxied and glassed over new and old. We ended up putting all new coosa 20 from the break at the rear of the handrail to the stern. Also entire bow area triangle.

We redid the entire transom with Divinycell and a few strategically placed coosa reinforcements. (two layers of 17 oz glass w/o matt on both sides of divinycell)-epoxy only. Its lighter now.

If you decide to do this, make a storyboard to get the curve right. Just trace onto a piece of plywood and cut.

I would suggest you look at GEMLUX scuppers. I just put some in my 23 and like that system. Have not tested yet however.
