Yes, your bimini tops look good. Here's an idea you can use or discard. On my top which is somewhat similar I replaced the aft straps with SST tubes. I felt this provided a bit more rigidity when someone needs a hand hold to climb from the deck to the dock. There is still some adjustability with the straps on the front.

Yes, I agree, the support poles are the way to go. I did the same thing,
and the poles add ridgity and make the top easier to stow. Good stuff.
