Moving your tabs out will help a lot but I'm wondering if your fuel is shifting. Was the tank custom made? Were baffles installed properly? A gallon of gas weighs 6.3 pound so lets say you have 100 gallon in it. If not baffled you could have an instant 630 pound shift to the side you are leaning. That would absolutely cause what you are describing as well a the shifted center of gravity caused by the tower lean.

I have a tower not much lighter than yours and have never experienced any such issue. As for Eric's, he has a full second station and is considerably taller and heavier overall than what we are running.
