I hear you about the pathfinder console, but I already have the console and mine has the cooler up front under the seat. As to the size I guess I'll get used to it, but cutting it to get it thinner is a mission since everything has to play nicely together and I'm not that much of a pro to get it done

I’m not either, so I stripped everything I could before it goes to the Man. I spent $800+ on two new hatches. One is a trapezoid for a new access to anchor on the bow. The second will be a larger than expected rectangle hatch that will open to a hold forward of the fuel tank bulkhead, and sit between the two center stringers, probably for dry storage only. Still left with leaning post to design with another cooler beneath, and lacking a live well. Would love to have a Pathfinder style leaning post mounted to the top of the livewell. Gotcha on the budget issue.

Michael.

Do you have a livewell in the floor with the smaller fuel tank (40 or so gallons)?
That seems to work well on my brothers 87 Tracker 18.

BTW, if you’re replacing your fuel tank, ORDER IT NOW! My 70 gal went from about $8?? to $1284 due to the proposed aluminum tax! Yeah! Budget getting tighter!!! NOTE to Self: Sunshine Tanks from now on!

My console is fastened to the floor with aluminum angle. It is through-bolted to the console sides and screwed into the floor. There is also wood quarter round around the outside to hide any gaps that may be visible after you cut off the flange.
