78 sceptre onboard prop removal

I tried to hit the end of the shaft with a hammer but the rudder is in the way so I couldn't hit it too hard . Heat is the next step will propane be hot enough or do need to borrow some torches.
Thanks for the help will post pics when I get back to the boat on Monday
