I normally use super thickened epoxy for stuff like you mention. I take standard epoxy resin and then add enough cabosil to get it like peanut butter consistency and sometimes add fibber pellets (rice size fiber strands). Use it like they did from the factory by placing it in several different places on the stringers. Sometimes in 1" wide strips high enough to allow it to smash down when the deck is sat back on it. You may be able to get a bakers pouch that they use to smash icing out of and put the resin in it then inject it under the deck in various spots so that it will bond the two parts back together.
