Sounds good to me. The more stretch, the better.

So, I was wondering. Poll looks like its heading towards the Cayo costa option. Is this a boat camping/gathering or staying somewhere else in particular?

last time, a group stayed at Terry's place on Cayo Costa. Others, who wanted air conditioning, stayed at Cabbage Key. Both require a boat to get to, but Cabbage Key has water transport or arranging for that in this group should be easy.

Thanks. Yeah, ten years ago, I would have just brought my bow dodger and cushions and just stayed in the boat. I now need to have "accommodations"
and need to start thinking about reservations.

Default Cayo Costa Gathering November 7, 8, 9 and 10th

Fellow Florida west coast mariners of the SeaCraft persuasion, I have reached a consensus with leadership approving an official Gathering at the Island Of LaCosta (Cayo Costa) during the above referenced weekend.
Those requiring the luxury of air conditioning are urged to engage the facilities nearby known as Cabbage Key (www,cabbagekey.com / phone no. 877-983-8814) for room or cottage reservations.
All other scallawags are welcome to the farting, snoring and drinking festival at Casa de la Costa. (Or you can just tie up at the dock)
The red tides and green algaes have been no where to be found and redfish, snook and trout are abundant for your inshore fishing pleasure. Offshore grouper, snapper and yellowtail along with an occasional triple tail near the stone crab trap floats are in season. At that time Stone Crab Season will be in full swing so bring your bibs.
The nearest boat ramp to Cabbage Key and Cayo Costa Island is Pineland Marina on Pine Island. They are at 13921 Waterfront Drive, Bokeelia, FL. 33922.

It’s going to be a great one! We just need to wrangle a few more of our pirates to attend. I will make a new thread for the event ASAP.

Well, I had a cottage lined up there. Just called them (cabbage key) and that weekend is almost filled, except for 2 rooms at the Inn. Now looking for places on mainland.
