Well it’s a real good drawing frizzle. I came awful close to following it in my seafari 25.

Ultimately it came down to time, money, and wanting to see how it was in its original state before messing with it too much.

My fishing buddy joked we’re gonna need a bucket on a rope to get water for washing down deck and hands. His boat has a very low freeboard.

I think raising the deck would be easier than cutting the cap down. The cap as it is adds a lot of rigidity to the hull. I cut a piece out for the transom redo and was amazed at the difference.
