Any performance gains from a hydraulic Plate will be minimal at best. There is a very small mounting sweet spot that once you find it, you are done. It will change with different props though.

I did have a 10" manual on my Tsunami for a few years and liked it but never had to do any adjusting once the motor was at the right height. If you're just needing it to give you the extra height due to the 30" motor, a good manual will do the trick but the least amount of setback the better.
