So I went to see the checkmate today and after some haggling and I was ready to walk I was able to take it with me for $100. The trailer is worth more than that. It had a crap load of leaves and junk on it so I couldn't walk the deck to see if it had soft spots but when back it looks like it doesn't have any ...will see tomorrow. It came with a 90 Evinrude complete with everything and I found a nice SS prop under the deck. That alone is worth the $100. It has a CMC jack plate that I'm going to take off and sell. I get why he put it on...the transom is a20 and the engine is a 25. A big plus is that it has hydraulic steering that works.
Going to get a battery and connect it and see what happens.
It's going to be a quick turnaround on this one and then I can relive my youth again.
